  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes (canned)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onions and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and Italian sausage; cook until browned, breaking apart with a wooden spoon.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and beef broth; bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender (10-12 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in mozzarella cheese until melted. Sprinkle with basil and oregano before serving.
