  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts, seasoning generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour with garlic and onion powder. Dredge each chicken breast until well-coated.
  3. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for about 6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet and pour in chicken broth, scraping up bits from the pan. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and fresh herbs, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly before returning the chicken to the skillet.
  6. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes until cooked through. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice!
