Perfect for brunch or a sweet treat, these Cookies and Cream Cinnamon Rolls will impress your family and friends while creating cherished memories. With simple ingredients and easy instructions, even novice bakers can whip up this delightful dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos or chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Warm the milk until lukewarm. In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar; let it foam for about 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix Ingredients Together: In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add the foamy yeast mixture and melted butter; stir until combined.
  3. Knead the Dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until elastic. Place in an oiled bowl covered with plastic wrap; let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Create Cookie Filling: Punch down the dough and roll into a rectangle. Spread softened butter on top, sprinkle with crushed Oreos, cinnamon, and sugar.
  5. Roll & Slice: Roll tightly into a log shape and slice into 12 pieces. Place slices in a greased baking dish. Cover to rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Bake & Enjoy: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk before serving.
