  • 12 oz beef tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the ground beef until browned.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; simmer until bubbly.
  4. Cook tortellini according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  5. In a baking dish, layer half of the meat sauce mixture, half of the cooked tortellini, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
