  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (toasted)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the toasted pecans.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized scoops onto ungreased baking sheets two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool before transferring to wire racks.
