Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  2. Gradually mix in flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt until a crumbly dough forms.
  3. Add molasses and egg; mix until fully combined into a slightly sticky dough.

  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick.
