  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Toss apple slices in lemon juice; set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the baking dish as the base layer.
