  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk (warm)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Gradually add flour and salt; mix until combined. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. For the filling, mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; melt butter on low heat.
  5. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle; brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Roll tightly from one end to form a log; pinch seams closed and place seam side down in a greased loaf pan. Let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
